We discuss the formation of character (tyynet) through testing with the world and its created adornments. Verse 7 of Surah Al-Kahf is at the center. What are the concepts of "Ahsan al-Amal" and "Baqiyat al-Salihat"? Is the best deed a single act, or is it all of our actions throughout life? Who determines whether an act is righteous or good? A measure of good conduct: Knowing what is acceptable in the sight of God. The reward and lasting value of what remains after our lives. When testing His servants, has God hidden the means of testing? Why is humanity the focus? Are they so precious? Are there no other created beings? What is the adornment of this world, to whom is it given, and do believers not have a share? What are the main topics when being tested with the adornment of this world? Verses included in the broadcast: Al-Kahf 7: We have made the earth an adornment for it so that We may test people as to which of them is best in deeds. Hud 7: It is He who created the heavens and the earth in six days, while the Throne was on the water, to test which of you is best in deeds. If you say, "You will surely be resurrected after death," the disbelievers will immediately say, "This is a deception like magic." Al-Mulk 2: It is He who created death and life to test which of you is best in deeds. He is the Mighty, the Forgiving. Maryah 76: Allah increases the guidance of those who are guided. Permanent righteous deeds are better in the sight of your Lord, and in the end, in the end. Al-Qasas 60: What you have been given is nothing but useful objects and beautiful things for the life of this world, but what is with Allah is better and more enduring. Will you not use your intellect? Hud 15: And whoever desires the worldly life and its adornment, We will give them therein their reward in full, and they will not be harmed in any way. Kahf 28: And be with those who call upon their Lord morning and evening, seeking His good pleasure. And do not turn your eyes away from them, desiring the adornment of the worldly life. And do not obey those whose hearts We have made heedless of remembering Us, who follow their own vain desires and whose deeds are excessive. Kahf 45: And give them an example of the life of this world: It is like water We send down from the sky, through which the earth grows and mingles, and then it becomes scattered chaff. And Allah is Able to do all things. Kahf 46: Wealth and children are the adornment of the life of this world. And the good deeds that last are better in the sight of your Lord in reward and in hope. Nahl 8: And He created horses for riding and as adornments. And He creates what you do not know... Yunus 88: Moses said, "O our Lord! Indeed, you bestowed upon Pharaoh and his chiefs adornments and wealth in the life of this world. O our Lord, was it that they should lead astray from Your path? O our Lord, wipe out their wealth and harden their hearts, for they will not believe until they see the painful punishment." Hadid 20: Know that the life of this world is nothing but play, amusement, ostentation, boasting among yourselves, and competition in wealth and children. It is like rain that pleases the farmers, then dries up, and then turns yellow, then becomes chaff. In the Hereafter, there is either a severe punishment or God's forgiveness and good pleasure. The life of this world is nothing but a deceptive enjoyment. Al-Hujurat 7: And know that among you is the Messenger of God. If he had followed you in many matters, you would have been in trouble. But God has endeared faith to you and made it an adornment in your hearts. He has made disbelief, transgression, and rebellion seem hateful to you. These are the rightly guided.
