In this episode, you’ll learn three powerful tools that unlock fast, professional modeling in FreeCAD: Revolve for creating solids by rotation, Groove for cutting by rotation, and Polar Pattern for instantly duplicating features around a circle. These are core parametric techniques that let you build complex parts with far fewer sketches and clicks. We’ll start in Part Design with a sketch on the XZ plane, create a simple circle, and turn it into a solid using Revolve (including how to choose the axis and adjust the angle). Then you’ll practice External Projection (reference geometry), use section view, and apply constraints like Horizontal/Vertical to align sketch points before revolving partial angles with options like Reversed and Symmetric to plane. Next, you’ll remove material with Groove, including how changing the groove angle updates the cut.
