Nostalgia: the pain of wanting to return to a place - for centuries thought to be an actual medical condition that could be potentially fatal. @ETYMOLOGYNERD (2024) In a distant future where music and concerts as we know them are unknown, archaeologists unearth a tape machine and a series of tape reels, one of which contains a live recording of Beethoven's 4th Piano Concerto. To better understand the nature of the sounds on the largely decayed tapes, they connect the tape machine to an 'inverted echolocation chamber', which allows them to visualise and explore the space in which the mysterious acoustic signals were recorded...
