While battling poverty on the Afghan border, we passed through some truly breathtaking landscapes in the Wakhan Corridor. Unfortunately, it was impossible to fully appreciate the scenery due to the road conditions. However, I will never forget those children struggling with poverty yet maintaining a smile on their faces.
