We've got it! Electrophysiology has reached a new level in our hospital's Cardiology Department. The team, led by Dr. Bartłomiej Bińkowski, MD, and Dr. Andrzej Bissinger, MD, performed the first cardiac arrhythmia ablation procedures in the Łódź Voivodeship using a state-of-the-art system for 3D cardiac mapping and electroporation ablation. The system, valued at PLN 1,708,592.40 gross, was purchased with funds obtained from the National Plan for Reconstruction and Enhancement of Immunity. It allows for the performance of complex arrhythmia procedures that were previously impossible to perform using other techniques. Fully reimbursed by the National Health Fund, these procedures offer a chance for normal functioning for patients with atrial arrhythmias, atrial fibrillation, and atrial flutter, for whom ablation procedures have previously been ineffective, as well as for those with multiple comorbidities and structural heart disease.
