In this video, we talk about Shorthorn cattle, one of the most important cattle breeds in Argentina and the first European breed to arrive in the country more than 200 years ago. Originally a dual-purpose breed (beef and dairy), the Shorthorn evolved to become a breed specialized in meat production, with great influence on Argentine livestock. For some years, it was at risk of disappearing, as the market trend shifted toward the Angus breed, but the Shorthorn has seen a significant recovery and today continues to occupy a key place in beef production in Argentina.
