Live Lining For ROCKFISH and BLUEFISH On The CHESAPEAKE BAY! The REEF Saved The Day!

Welcome back to The Water's Edge! Today we are heading out on the Chesapeake Bay to fish for rockfish and bluefish. Our main tactic is live lining with spot, so our first step is to do some bottom fishing in Eastern Bay near Poplar Island to load up on bait. once we had a few dozen spot in the live well, we tried fishing a few different areas until we found schools of bluefish and some rockfish at the Maryland Artificial Reef site located in Eastern Bay just north of Kent Point. the bite wasn't on fire, but we had some fun action with feisty bluefish!
