los tuneles prohibidos de Buenos Aires, Argentina. Soterramiento del tren Sarmiento
We explored the Sarmiento railway tunnel, a 7-kilometer-long railway tunnel that runs underground through the western suburbs of Buenos Aires, all the way to the City of Buenos Aires. One of Argentina's largest and most controversial infrastructure projects: announced as a solution to the chaos of level crossings and accidents, stalled for years, with billions invested, and now abandoned forever. Now all that remains is the tunnel boring machine, a 125-meter-long, 11-meter-diameter machine that was responsible for drilling the 7 kilometers of the planned 30. Today, what was supposed to transform the city feels like an underground capsule suspended in the past. / ian_menendez Valen's channel: @xvaluuu Want to support the channel? ‣ alias: ianmenendez8 ‣ link.mercadopago.com.ar/ianmenendez
