"The Good is Always Useful: Newman and the Liberal Arts Today" a lecture by Andrew Meszaros
Who was St. John Henry Newman and why does his vision for higher education still matter today? The St. Norbert College community explored that question during the final Killeen Chair of Theology & Philosophy lecture series of the 2025-26 academic year, welcoming Andrew Meszaros from the Pontifical University in Rome. Meszaros reflected on Newman’s enduring belief in the liberal arts, rooted in theology and philosophy, and shared why, even in the age of AI, a liberal arts education remains as valuable as ever.
