☆ open me :))) It seems like I’m always late to the party, but I saw merit in this and I decided to do it anyway so that I can force myself to learn tempo automation so that I could use the knowledge gained to expand my range outside of just songs with a constant tempo all the way through. Besides, I had just figured out how to install and use Magical 8-bit Plugin, which means that the noise and triangle waves are more accurate in this than they have ever been in the history of this channel. The plugin also allows me to adjust the pitch bend range beyond the usual 2 semitones up or down. When I used the plugin on some of my old 8-bit songs the automation data didn't transfer over. I am personally against correcting and then re-releasing things like Flower and New Jeans, because I didn’t want to pretend that they never happened, but I could at least start anew. So here we are. You may notice that some harmonies and/or background notes are missing. This is because the NES 2A03 CPU can only render five audio channels running simultaneously at any given time, including two pulse waves, one triangle wave and one white noise generator (DPCM not used here). So I had to make some sacrifices here and there to keep it faithful to 8-bit composing limits. I also kept reminding myself that creating a note-for-note remake of this song would make it soulless, like New Jeans and Perfect Night were. So I tried to work in my own interpretations here and there and take creative liberties wherever necessary since most pop songs don’t translate well into 8-bit on their own. And you can rest assured that, despite the recent saturation of 8-bit content recently, a new round of traditional remixes (a la Baddie, Super Shy etc.) is coming in the near future. Hopefully... Sometimes errors seep through screening, and I apologise in advance if the audio is a bit off (read: way off). Like or dislike, it's all up to you. If you left a like, great!
