Flight TP204 EWR-LIS Gravado / Recorded: 23.05.2025 A TAP Air Portugal Airbus A330-200, registration CS-TOO, operating flight TP-204 (departed May 22) from Newark, New Jersey (USA) to Lisbon, Portugal, was on descent to Lisbon when the flight crew issued a PAN PAN call due to a shutdown of the left engine, followed by a hydraulic system malfunction. The CF6 engine #1 experienced an oil filter blockage. Roughly 15 minutes after the issue was identified—while cruising at FL410 and about 370 nautical miles west-northwest of Lisbon—the engine was shut down. The aircraft then descended to FL260. About 10 minutes later, low pressure was detected in the fuel pumps on the right wing. While descending through FL200 on approach to Lisbon, the blue hydraulic system showed signs of low pressure, and a fault was indicated in slat system #2. The aircraft landed safely on runway 02 in Lisbon. Upon landing, only the outboard ground spoilers and the thrust reverser on the right engine activated.
