【東京・大田区発信】人間国宝ドキュメンタリー／つなぐ～伝統を受け継ぐ至宝たち～　刀剣研磨　本阿彌光洲

The Ota Ward Cultural Promotion Association had been holding the "Ota Wa no Matsuri" (Ota Japanese Culture Festival), an event offering experiences of traditional Japanese culture, every March since 2017. Unfortunately, due to the prevention of COVID-19 infection, the event was canceled in 2020 and 2021. However, as a means of raising awareness of Japanese culture among Ota Ward residents and providing a new way to foster connections through Japanese culture, we decided to produce a documentary program focusing on three Living National Treasures (holders of Important Intangible Cultural Properties) residing in Ota Ward. We hope that this program will allow people both within and outside of Ota Ward to learn about the splendor of traditional Japanese culture and the daily efforts and passions that underlie it, thereby increasing their interest in Japanese culture.
