We examined 10 mosques built in Istanbul after 2000. This week, we are publishing the Barbaros Hayreddin Pasha Mosque on the occasion of the 487th anniversary of the Preveza Naval Victory. The Preveza Naval Victory was won thanks to the famous sailor Barbaros Hayreddin Pasha. It was a naval battle that took place on September 28, 1538, at Preveza in northwestern Greece, between the Ottoman Navy and the Crusader fleet, which came together thanks to the efforts of Pope Paul III. The Ottoman Navy under the command of Barbaros Hayreddin Pasha destroyed the Crusader Navy under the command of Admiral Andrea Doria.
