Brooke is pleased Rick did well at the board meeting, but angry that Ridge tried to trip up Rick with a difficult agenda. The conversation turns to Deacon and Brooke admits to Megan that Deacon loves her. Megan tells Brooke it is wrong to deny her feelings and to deny her child a father. Brooke tells Megan that this is the path she and Deacon must take so their child won’t be an outcast. Ridge and Taylor are enjoying their meal at the Café Russe when he notices Sally and Massimo sharing a meal across the room. As a gesture of goodwill Massimo sends over an expensive bottle of champagne to Ridge and Taylor’s table with an encouraging note. Ridge accepts the bottle which pleases Massimo, but it quickly turns to disappointment when Ridge empties Massimo’s gift into the ice bucket and then takes off with Taylor. As Deacon begins to clear the dishes, he fantasizes about Brooke giving birth to their baby and Thorne stepping in as the father which irritates Deacon to no end. Deacon is brought out of the fantasy when Bridget arrives back on the rooftop wearing nothing but the fur coat Deacon brought for her. Deacon desperately tries to lose himself in Bridget.
