Recycled concrete is concrete made with standard materials, replacing all or part of the natural gravel or coarse aggregate with recycled gravel from Construction and Demolition Waste (CDW) processed at an approved recycling facility. If the concrete is structural, the maximum amount of recycled aggregate will be equal to or less than 20% of the total gravel, with 80% being natural aggregate. The characteristics that Recycled Concrete must meet are listed in Annex 15 of the EHE-08 "Recommendations for the use of recycled concrete."
