Met windkracht 5 over het IJsselmeer van Urk naar Friesland

In this video, we'll be leaving Urk again, braving the IJsselmeer in a force 5 wind. We'll eventually arrive in Lemmer, where we'll spend the night. Then we'll head towards the Snekermeer and the Terkaplesterpuollen, where we'll also spend another day. A day later, we'll enter the Deelen polder and arrive in Gorredijk, the start of the Turf Route. 0:00 intro 1:07 in a force 5 wind on the IJsselmeer 2:10 Lemmer 5:33 Snekermeer 5:57 De Deelen polder 11:57 Gorredijk 13:25 Outro We'll be sailing throughout the Netherlands with our motor yacht "Sequana." We'll be navigating canals, rivers, and lakes. We've collected a wealth of footage over the years, and we'd like to share it with you. We're still behind on our videos, but since we aim to post a video every Sunday at 10 a.m., we'll eventually close that gap, and the videos will become more recent. We also hardly sail in the winter, so we'll have to make do with the footage we shoot in the summer. In the first videos, we were still sailing our 8-meter Tjeukemeer cruiser. It was powered by a 45-hp Solé mini 48. We sold this boat in 2020 and bought our current boat. Our current boat is a Romanza cruiser, built in 1978 at the "van der Torre" shipyard in Ammerstol. The Sequana is powered by a powerful 120-hp Ford Lehman 6-cylinder engine. Sequana was the river goddess of the French River Seine, which also flows through Paris. Sequana was said to provide healing. That's one of the reasons we felt this was a fitting name for our boat. Because when we step onto our boat on the weekend (or vacation) after a long week of work, we immediately feel better. #sailing #travel #enjoy #enjoylife #haven #summer
