1998 Dodge Ram 1500 5.2L upstream O2 sensor install and removal

O2 sensor codes are often misdiagnosed. In my case the symptoms made it pretty easy to know it was a bad o2 sensor. i.e. sputtering, hesitation upon acceleration, and horrible MPG's. All signs of an improper mixture of air and fuel. After a 20 min drive with the new o2 sensor installed the CEL went off, but you could feel the difference in performance right away.
