In this video I take a look at the Epiphone Tom Delonge Signature ES333 guitar and talk about why the price on these is currently so high and hopefully answer the big question... IS IT WORTH IT? The ES333 Tom Delonge model is a discontinued aritst model from the Epiphone catalogue. It was designed as a more affordable alternative to Tom's Gibson ES333 model. Although Epiphone managed to keep the initial price down, they did include some of the same features as the Gibson model such as Tom's huge neck profile and single Gibson Dirty Fingers humbucker. The guitar is a single pickup guitar, but the absence of other pickups does not affect the versatility as much as you'd imagine. The guitar is very responsive to both volume control changes and dynamic changes. It won't do crystal clean tone very well, but if you dig in to a clean tone you can get a nice breakup and it handles gain perfectly. In the video I am using the ES333 plugged into the Blackstar Studio 10 6L6 which is running via the Two Notes Torpedo Captor X. The reverb in the video is coming from the Surfy Industries Surfybear Classic and the drive tones are all from the Wampler Gearbox.
