Subaru has unveiled the new Crosstrek Hybrid – with an impressive range of over 1,000 kilometers and a new 2.5-liter boxer engine. The combustion engine delivers 160 hp, supported by an electric motor with 88 kW and 270 Nm of torque. Energy comes from a 1.1 kWh battery, which is integrated under the cargo floor to save space. Thanks to a larger 63-liter fuel tank, the Crosstrek achieves an efficiency of less than 6.3 liters per 100 kilometers. The model launched in Japan in December 2024, with other markets following in 2025. Subaru combines modern hybrid technology with its proven boxer engine heritage. Models such as the Forester and Outback will also benefit from the new system. With the Crosstrek Hybrid, Subaru remains true to its commitment to efficiency and everyday usability.
