PLO | Police dismantle a ring involved in the illegal trading of over 1,000 bank accounts. On June 26, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police announced that the Provincial Security Investigation Agency had dismantled a major bank account trading ring, and issued a decision to prosecute and temporarily detain eight individuals involved in the operation. According to the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, this criminal ring was led by Nguyen Tien Dat (born in 2004; residing in Long Bien Ward, Hanoi). To operate this ring, Dat colluded with Hoang Duc Manh (born in 2004; also residing in Long Bien Ward) to contribute capital and purchase bank accounts for resale and profit sharing. Dat then connected with many other individuals in Ninh Binh, Son La, Bac Ninh provinces, Hanoi, and Ho Chi Minh City to illegally collect, store, and trade large quantities of bank account information.
