Cylinder Boring Cylinder Honing Based on the dimensions in the IZH Planeta literature, to make calculations clearer and easier, we'll take group "0" for a 72.00 cylinder with a +0.01 tolerance and a 71.95 piston with a -0.01 tolerance. If we calculate the clearance taking all tolerances into account, the clearance is within 0.05-0.07 mm. If you look at the table below for oversize pistons, taking all tolerances into account, the clearance can be even larger: 0.04-0.09 mm. Calculate and check for yourself.
