Spartan Race 2021 Sprint Castaic Lake

2021 Spartan Sprint in Castaic Lake CA. 3 Spartan miles of trails, elevation gain, obstacles along side of two of my good friends, Tom (who is fresh off a shoulder injury) and Jameson (who is recovering from foot surgery). This location holds a special place in my heart. I completed my first OCR at this location. I ran in honor of my best friend who had passed away from cardiomyopathy. He was just 35 years old. He was training to run the LA Marathon that year and in doing so, he would sign up for Spartan Races, half marathons and other OCR events. As I crossed the finish line that day, covered in mud, with tear filled eyes I looked up to the heavens and said "we did man!" And as I looked down, I quickly realized the volunteer at the finish line handed me two finisher medals. We hear it all the time. Tomorrow isn't a guarantee. Live today as if it's your last. If you're reading this, I challenge you to set a goal AND GET AFTER IT! Chase down your dreams. Live your life because no one else will do it for you. Since that first race I've gone on to complete over 100 OCR's, been featured on Titan Games, Beast Master, competed on American Ninja Warrior 4 times, and have started my own real estate team which has closed over $100 million in residential sales in Southern California. I'm not stating that to brag. I'm telling you that I'm not special. If I can do it anyone can! Today is your day!
