This might be the coolest fishing challenge I’ve ever done… I hit up yard sales in a retirement community with my grandma in search of vintage fishing gear — and the treasures we uncovered were WILD. From pickerel rigs and old-school hand-tied flies to rusted-out reels and classic crankbaits, every piece came with a story. Along the way, I met some amazing locals who shared their personal fishing memories and showed off their antique tackle collections. Then I put the gear to the test. The challenge? ONLY use the old gear I found at the yard sales (plus a few borrowed pieces) to catch fish.
