To reproduce hidden internal sections of an original Ferrari F40 rear clamshell for my F40 recreation project, I had no choice but to cut into the original panel. This wasn’t a replica—it was a genuine Ferrari F40 rear clamshell, a part that can be worth tens of thousands of euros on today’s market. While exposing the internal structure, I decided to investigate how Ferrari actually built the panel. The results surprised me.
