For Jonathan, the undertaking of a solo world trip on a motorcycle was never meant to be conventional. For his jouney he chose the same make and model that his Grandfather rode; a 45 year old Redditch-built Royal Enfield Bullet 350. It may not be the most appropriate or reliable of bikes to take on such a trip. It might break down, it might struggle on some of the terrains it'll cross, it might not be the safest way to travel.
