🎓Mikko Kemppe – Dance Champion & Founder of Helsinki Salsa Academy Mikko Kemppe is a distinguished dance professional with a wealth of accomplishments in both Latin ballroom and salsa. He is a two-time Finnish Latin Champion (2017, 2018) and a World Championship Finalist at the prestigious WDSF Latin World Championship (Miami, 2017). As the founder of Helsinki Salsa Academy, Mikko has been a driving force in developing Finland’s salsa dance scene since 2010. Mikko’s expertise extends beyond the dance floor; he has judged major international competitions, including the World Salsa Championships (Hong Kong, 2012, 2013) and the Nordic Salsa Championships (Reykjavik, 2017; Stockholm, 2014). He is also the visionary behind notable events like the Arctic Salsa Festival and the Nordic Salsa Championships. As a seasoned instructor, Mikko has taught and performed worldwide, from San Francisco to Hong Kong, Berlin, and Tokyo.
