After all, if we live in a democracy and at least in principle have civilian control over the military, then some criticism is necessary, right? Perhaps even essential. So we'll discuss why, for various reasons, we haven't yet seen a civic ethos of criticism of the army and a rational separation between respect for the uniform and mindless worship. In the second part of the conversation, we'll touch on another pillar of the state – the constitution. Here, Jakub and Marcin argue. Specifically, whether it's worth discussing the constitution and its amendments, or whether this is just a form of intellectual ritual and bidding on wishful thinking. Finally, we'll discuss the rising costs – and sometimes costly mistakes – of the public sector in an age of aging society.
