Just a few years ago, hearing about manga made in France was either a source of hilarity or ridicule. Yet, as more authors took the plunge, flagship series emerged, such as City Hall, Dreamland, Lords of Chaos, and Radiant. Lastman is the attempt by several authors from diverse backgrounds to create an ambitious and incredibly fun work. While some may have initially doubted it, each new volume has confirmed the series' potential and quality. With two of the three masterminds behind the project present at the Quai des Bulles festival in St. Malo, we were able to interview these inseparable individuals who never stopped having fun and talking about their collaboration, turbomedia, the Bible, the Triplets, and even Marion Montaigne, their neighbor in the studio!
