Among the many engagements on their agenda, the band was scheduled to record an album. Fifteen years later in Bogotá Colombia, we sat down to talk with two of the protagonists of that memorable recording session, Joche Plata and Fredys Arrieta. The footage you are about to see was captured during Los Gaiteros' visit to NYC and as the group recorded the song “La Bajera”, composed by Fredys Arrieta and included in “Un Fuego De Sangre Pura”, the 2007 Latin Grammy winning album in the category Folkloric Music, released by Smithsonian Folkways.
