SO 50 pass recorded w RTL SDR 061526 0152Z

I recorded this pass on June 14th, 2026, at 6:50 PM PST using an RTL-SDR. Simultaneously, I recorded the pass with my mobile device while running the ISS Detector app. I observed some positive aspects as well as some issues: 1. The audio captured by the RTL-SDR and SKYROOF software was better than the audio recorded by the mobile device. 2. Latency (as expected): I synchronized the audio from both recordings, which explains the echo effect, and noticed that the elevation displayed in the SKYROOF software differed from that shown in ISS Detector. 3. I was not able to hear myself in the SKYROOF recordings. 4. Interference occurred when using Push-to-Talk (PTT); each time I pressed PTT, a horizontal line appeared on the waterfall/cascade display. This test indicated that, given the rapid pace of exchanges during FM satellite communications, using an RTL-SDR is not an ideal option. By the time I finish hearing one station on SKYROOF, another station usually takes the satellite, causing me to miss transmissions due to the delay. Thanks to those I had QSO's WI5D KO6MBI
