I hiked the 72.6km Okuchichibu Main Ridge Traverse Trail from Mizugaki-sanso, a place I'd always dreamed of, to Okutama Station over four days and three nights. This video shows the first day, from Mizugaki-sanso via Mt. Kinpu to Oyari Pass Hut. It started raining from the start, and I ended up camping in a rainy tent. My rainwear was old, so I was soaked, cold, and uncomfortable. My smartphone was out of range, so I spent the night feeling lonely and unsure of the next day's forecast.
