1945 M24 Chaffee tank, Cadillac flathead V8 engine, Hydra-matic transmission test run
After a Hydra-matic transmission rebuild, we wanted to check the transmission was shifting correctly. This test run shows it was. This is a no-load test so it does not confirm clutches and bands will hold firm under the demands of propelling a 20 ton tank. but it gives us some confidence the hydraulic control side of the tranny was good. And that there were no leaks.
