Oleksandr is one of the youngest patients at the Protez Foundation center and today he is cutting the ribbon at a new center for people in need of prosthetics in Vynohradiv. Sasha has a congenital pathology of his left lower leg. Although the boy is only three years old, he already moves confidently on a prosthesis, leads an active lifestyle and practically does not experience any restrictions in everyday life. And Kyrylo is a young swimming champion. The guy has been professionally involved in sports for most of his life, and the absence of an arm has not become an obstacle to his achievements. Thanks to his participation in the Protez Foundation program, he was able to undergo prosthetics in the United States of America. Protez Foundation is an international charitable organization that helps Ukrainian military personnel, civilians and children who have lost limbs as a result of war or other injuries to receive modern prosthetics and comprehensive rehabilitation free of charge. The new center in Vynohradiv became the second Protez Foundation center in Transcarpathia and the third in Ukraine. Its opening will allow residents of the region to receive quality services closer to home and go through all stages of adaptation in comfortable conditions. The center's specialists work on individual programs, taking into account the characteristics of each patient. Here they manufacture modern anatomically adapted prostheses that help people return to active life, work and sports. At the center, patients can receive not only prosthetics, but also specialist consultations, support during rehabilitation and support at all stages of recovery. Prosthetics through the Protez Foundation is free of charge. To participate in the program, you must fill out the appropriate form on the organization's official website and provide the necessary documents. The opening of such a center creates new opportunities for Transcarpathia and once again confirms the role of the region as an important center for the physical and psychological recovery of Ukrainian defenders, veterans and civilians who need help after serious injuries.
