This MTD 635-24 was built in 2013 and it looks like it just came out of the shop today. Serial number 2365, essentially flawless condition, and at 9 lbs 6 oz for a six string bass it is genuinely remarkable. The mahogany body with a flamed maple burl top is a pairing that just sings. Mahogany brings those rich, warm lower mids that give the bass its fundamental body and depth. The flamed maple burl top adds a crisp, bright singing quality to the voice that sits right on top of that warmth. The result is a six string that is balanced, musical, and immediately compelling. There is what appears to be a small mark on the headstock that may just be figuring in the wood. Otherwise this bass is flawless.
