I take my students from Villa Soleada to the Lancetilla Botanical Garden in Tela, Honduras. Lancetilla is the largest botanical garden in Latin America with many exotic trees and plants. We taste fruits, hike various trails, try artisanal jelly and wine, learn about poisonous plants, and more. Admission is just 50L ($2) for adults and 25L ($1) for students. Lancetilla is on the CA-13 highway in Tela.
