7-Limit Harmony (Adler)
A piece I composed in La Monte Young’s Well-Tuned Piano recipe, with a short tuning demo at the end. If you are interested in learning how to create and tune your own scales in alternative tuning systems, join the Microtonality Crash Course beginning October 19, 2024! In 8 weekly Zoom sessions on Saturdays we will explore the mathematics of harmony, just intonation, infinite divisions of the octave, and the farthest reaches of n-dimensional pitch space. Participants will tear down the walls of 12-tone equal temperament and develop techniques for building new harmonic architecture. Course Syllabus: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZQbX...
