[60 FPS] 2025 NRHS Convention Steam Railroading Institute Diesel Excursion

By Bill Didden A portion of the ad revenue this channel makes goes toward rail preservation projects. The first event day of the 2025 National Railway Historical Society was a diesel powered excursion train operated by the Steam Railroading Institute over trackage that sees Great Lakes Central freight trains. The excursion train traveled about 70 railroad mileage from Clare, Michigan to Owosso, Michigan. Once we arrived in Owosso, we got to see progress on the repair work on Pere Marquette 1225, as well as the boiler of Chicago & Northwestern 175, and other passenger cars that are being cleaned and ready for the upcoming Norfolk & Western 611 excursions on the Buckingham Branch Railroad in the Fall 2025.
