SPH-FEM Coupling

In this video, I show how to create SPH and FEM parts then connecting them. Both SPH and FEM parts will represent one entity, but the SPH is used in the region where high deformation is expected. This technique is useful in problems such as high velocity impacts and explosions. I covered two examples: rectangle target and cylindrical target. What I demonstrated in this video: How to generate SPH part using SPH Generation Tool How to use MoveCopy tool to change the part ID How to select nodes using 'In' and 'Out' area option (for PART SET creation) How to use Tied Nodes to Surface Contact How to create a cylindrical SPH part How to select SPH circumferential nodes (for PART SET creation) For complete SPH tutorial, check this one out:    • LS-DYNA TUTORIAL 3: Bird Strike Simulation      • LS-DYNA TUTORIAL 17: Bird Strike Simulatio...   Examples of what SPH method can do:    • LS-DYNA: Fuselage Drop Test on Water      • SPH Underwater Explosion      • High Velocity Impact on Ceramics      • SPH/FEM Coupled High Velocity Impact
