Hiking Sauk Mountain - Great beginner Mountain!
Souk mountain is a 5500ft peak located along highway 20, and it only takes 4 miles and a little over a thousand feet of climbing to get there! A long rough road takes you up most of the mountain. If you can get to the trailhead you start climbing in alpine meadows to the rocky summit. I decided to increase the difficulty a little by doing the short scramble over to the true summit on the ridge. Overall a great mountain with incredible views. Enjoy!
