WHEN TO USE THEM?] LEARN EVERYTHING ABOUT THE DOUBLE DOSE INCREMENT OF NOISE Hey there, hygienists and preventative preventionists, how are you all doing? Do you really know which doubling factor you should use for your reports? Q3 or Q5? Today I'm going to simplify a common question among occupational health and safety professionals. I'm talking about the noise doubling factor or dose doubling increment. I'll show you what happens when we add decibels to a certain sound pressure level. I will show how it is addressed in NR-15 (Unhealthy Activities and Operations) and how it also appears in the Occupational Hygiene Standard (NHO-01). I will also mention when there is a reduction in exposure time by half or a doubling of the dose, due to the increments made. I will clarify once and for all which doubling factor or increment of noise dose I should use for the unhealthiness reports and for the LTCAT (Technical Report on Working Conditions). The entire video is based on current Brazilian regulations, including Decree 3048, Normative Instruction 77, the special retirement manual of the National Institute of Social Security (INSS), and the tolerance limits established by NR-15 of the Ministry of Labor and Employment.
