Under controlled conditions, ultra-high frequency waves can be used not only to heat food but also to generate extremely high heat inside a crucible containing metal. The crucible is also homemade – made of silicon carbide and water glass, and the heat-insulating chamber is made of mineral fiber. I managed to partially utilize this technology and cast simple bars, although not everything went according to plan.
