01100's - Charlestown EL - Boston

[Also, see: watch?v=lDa1aeo2G0U for more.] [From the film "Fuzz", (1972)] These are 01100 Orange Line (earlier, Main Line) rapid transit trains (1957-1981) on the Charlestown Elevated in the early '70s. This line ran from the Haymarket tunnel to Route 99 in Everett, and went out of service in April 1975. Although the opening shot is from a Red Line train heading east out of Kendall Square, and one quick shot can be seen of a Red Line 01400 crossing the Longfellow Bridge near the end of the clip, the majority of these shots were made at and around City Square in Charlestown.
