Exports success — Brunei, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Fiji, Seychelles, Papua New Guinea and Singapore. Nation's best‑seller — topping Malaysia’s charts year after year. First update in April 2017 — revised rear skirt. April Fool’s prank 2019 — Toyota Etios rebadge joke with Paultan.org. Limited Edition November 2019 — 50 units sold out instantly. Major facelift January 2020 — new grille, LED headlamps, dashboard redesign, ASA 2.0. Future renewal — delayed to 2030, reflecting industry shifts and electrification priorities.
