DayZ just dropped a summer update — the 1.29 “Road to Badlands” Experimental! This update brings early content from the upcoming DayZ Badlands expansion, including new weapons, new gear, new convoy wrecks, and a long list of fixes. What’s new in Road to Badlands: SCR‑17 Battle Rifle Highly requested by the community. Chambered in .308, 20‑round magazine, modular attachments, two buttstocks, compatible with western optics + new holo sights. Comes in tan and a black Sakhal variant. Nasdara Convoy Wrecks All convoy crash sites have been replaced with new Nasdara‑style wrecks. Same dynamic spawn locations, same tier. Sakhal gets unique loot instead of convoys. New Gear & Clothing Tanker helmet (variants), military cap (variants), desert‑camo combat backpack, desert‑camo plate carrier, plus more hidden items. Fixes & Improvements Zeroing issues fixed (Xbox K&M), stamina return fixed, stash digging fixed, crash mitigation, exploit fixes, and more. Experimental Phase: The Road to Badlands experimental period will run for 2–4 weeks before releasing on stable across all platforms.
