Elvis: Up Close - The Gold Lamé Jacket & Award of Honor

Take an Up Close look at the Gold Lamé Jacket Elvis wore during his March 25, 1961, benefit concert at Bloch Arena in Pearl Harbor. Made for Elvis by Nudie’s of Hollywood in 1957, the iconic jacket became one of the defining stage looks of his early career. After returning home from the Army, Elvis wore the jacket one final time during the historic concert that raised more than $65,000 for the USS Arizona Memorial project at Pearl Harbor. Also featured is the Award of Honor presented to Elvis that same day by the Pacific War Memorial Commission in recognition of his contributions to the memorial effort.
