The Volvo ES90 is finally here… but is it still competitive in 2026? In this review, I’m driving the single motor, rear-wheel drive ES90... the most affordable version in the range, starting from just under £68,000. While early impressions of the ES90 focused on its tech, range and that distinctive LiDAR setup… things have changed. UK cars no longer feature the roof-mounted LiDAR sensor, and the EV market has moved on fast, with rivals like the BMW iX3 now pushing beyond 500 miles of range. So where does that leave the ES90?
