Circle Square - Physical Disabilities (circa 1984)
Circle Square was a corny Canadian children's show in the early 80's featuring lots of puppets and lip-synching. This episode is notable because it features a documentary called Downhill: Any Way You Can. It is about a man who lost both his legs in an accident and goes on to hold ski clinics for child amputees. The stoicism of the children in the documentary contrasts strangely with the well-meaning but patronizing tone of the Circle Square gang towards them: "Just remember, you're special!" I have a few other episodes of Circle Square I can upload if there is interest.
