Ajmal Kuro - Sweet, Smooth, All Weather - Review & 6 Week Maceration

Perfume Maceration or Maturation or Evolution - that is, what happens to a fragrance after you open it - is a contentious point in the fragrance community. Anyone who buys a perfume is immediately faced by this question - why does my perfume smell like this? It is even more pronounced in Middle Eastern perfumes. I have been running experiments with my bottles of perfumes from Middle Eastern Manufactures, and I am sharing the journey of what happens once you open the bottle over weeks of usage. In this video, I share my experience with Ajmal Kuro from a New Bottle till Week 6 of usage. Hope you will find this information useful. If you have just bought the bottle, it will bring you some relief, and give you a radar of what to expect. Each bottle, batch, nose, individual and storage condition is different. What you experience could be very different from what my experience has been, and that is completely normal. Some say this perfume is inspired by or is a clone of Dior Sauvage - I have not tried the Dior one myself so I will not comment on that. I have used a TWSBI ECO in Broad nib for this review, and it is inked with Diamine Peacock Flare Shimmering Ink.
