According to First Inspector Hermanto, the incident began when the Dishub officers suddenly stopped a pickup truck. This action is suspected to have triggered the multiple-vehicle accident involving four vehicles: two six-wheeled trucks, one 10-wheeled truck, and a pickup truck. First Inspector Hermanto stated that the truck driver behind the pickup truck braked suddenly after the vehicle in front of him was stopped by the Dishub officers. The angry drivers then confronted the Dishub officers, who are suspected of being the cause of the multiple-vehicle accident. A video circulating on social media shows several drivers surrounding the Dishub officers, angrily shouting. One of the drivers even resorted to violence by kicking a motorcycle belonging to a Transportation Agency officer. The officer targeted by the truck driver's rage appeared to attempt to avoid the crowd by raising his hands and leaving the scene. The accident reportedly resulted in no fatalities, although the vehicles were reportedly damaged by the multiple collisions.
