Salisbury Model Railway Exhibition held in May 2018. Another first time visit to a model railway exhibition, which had a number of interesting layouts. Based on the Tarrant Valley Railway in the 1920s-30s. 04:08 Mawgan Porth - Gauge EM (18mm), Scale 4mm/ft - Winchester Railway Modellers. Based on a proposed LSWR extension to Newquay, Cornwall, about 1911. 05:36 Croydon North Street - Gauge 00, Scale 4mm/ft - Darren Johnson. Fictional Network South East layout. Listen for the station announcements. 08:13 Trelill - Gauge N, Scale 2mm/ft - SSWRS Members. Set in the Souther Railway 'Withered Arm' area of British Railways in 1948-1955. 10:08 Longmoor - Gauge N; Scale 2mm/ft - Ray Oliver. Based on the Longmoor Military Railway. Fictitious rural GWR terminus in Cornwall in the 1930s. 20:25 Mortimers Cross (Lugg Mill) - Gauge 00-9; Scale 4mm/ft - built by Geoff Broadhurst; operated by Mervyn Burston. Based on a roadside tramway in thw Welsh Marshes. 21:24 Eldon's Siding - Gauge 0 (32 & 26.25mm) Scale 7mm/ft - Peter Hollins.
